Thank You For Supporting Our Events!!
Welcome to Kansas Dressage and Eventing Association (KDEA)! Whether you are a returning member, or a brand one, we want you to know who we are and what we can do for YOU!

First - Our mission statement: KDEA serves the South Central Kansas dressage and eventing community by providing educational, social, and competitive opportunities that promote a harmonious partnership between horse and rider.

Second – KDEA is a “Group Member Organization” of the United States Dressage Federation, which means that a portion of your KDEA membership dues go to USDF for your membership. With that membership, you are eligible to compete as a “USDF Member” at recognized dressage shows. Check out www.usdf.org for more information. You also get the monthly USDF Connection magazine (print or online), and there are many educational items on the USDF website once you are a KDEA member and create your USDF log in.

So what does KDEA do?
  • Provides educational events such as Ride A Tests, New Test Clinics, Geometry of Dressage, “Movie Night.” Clinics vary from year to year and we welcome new ideas for clinics!
  • Provides opportunities for learning at schooling dressage shows and riding clinics... We offer Western Dressage, English Dressage, Eventing as well as the opportunity to practice IEA Tests and Working Eq tests at our shows.
  • Juniors 14 and under who are members get 2 free classes at each of our shows (you can enter more classes, but you pay any additional class fees and an office fee).
  • Provides Western Dressage riders with the opportunity to show in our dressage schooling shows.
  • Provide the opportunity to bring your horse to various local facilities (Eagle View, Twin Creek Trails, Three Wooden Crosses, Capall Stable) so that you can school or experience our events.
  • Your membership in KDEA meets basic membership requirements if you decide to show in USEF/USDF dressage shows.
  • Monthly newsletter with information about shows, clinics, learning opportunities and general information of interest to the dressage community.
  • Provides the opportunity to volunteer your time and talents to our organization, sharpening your skills as a scribe, ingate person, scorer, jump judge, or other club needs.
  • Provides annual KDEA awards recognition, should you desire to compete in our shows and in shows in the local area.
  • Eligibility for KDEA grants to support your equestrian goals.
  • You are also eligible for USDF’s GMO Award programs, and you can watch online videos and read articles on USDF University to work your way through USDF Diplomas as you learn!
  • Provides the opportunity to meet others who share your love of horses, whether you are a competitive rider in your discipline, or whether you just want to learn more about riding your horse.
